Journey to Easter Island
With its location in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and the presence of a culture which is not well known its origin and development, Easter Island is a place of attraction and mystery. A good all year round climate allows for walking the geography and traveling along the coast of numerous ahus that the gigantic sculptures called moai.
Who, when and why were these sculptures? It is a mystery. It is presumed that the island was inhabited since the earliest centuries of our times, and the moai are hundreds of years. It is known that many tribes lived on the island at one point fought among themselves and ravaged the territory. It is not known why they destroyed most of the moai.
Today visitors can share with the descendants of that ancient culture that still inhabit the island and who keep their ancestral customs and remain very original despite the advance of civilization.

Con su ubicación en la mitad del Océano Pacífico y la presencia de una cultura de la cual no se conoce bien su origen ni desarrollo, la Isla de Pascua es un sitio de atractivo y de misterio. Un clima bueno todo el año permite caminar su geografía, recorriendo a lo largo de la costa los numerosos "ahus" que contienen las esculturas gigantes llamadas moai.
Quién, cuándo y por qué se hicieron estas esculturas? Es un misterio. Se presume que la isla fue habitada desde los primeros siglos de nuestra época y que los moai tienen cientos de años. Se sabe que en la isla vivían numerosas tribus que en un momento combatieron entre ellos y asolaron el territorio. Se desconoce por qué destruyeron la mayoría de los moai.
Hoy día se puede compartir con los descendientes de esa antigua cultura que todavía habitan la isla y que guardan sus costumbres ancestrales y se mantienen muy originales a pesar del avance de la civilización.
